Editorial policy

These are the rules we follow when we publish an answer.

• What we publish. Plain answers about drinks. Every page shows an author, a published date and an updated date. The updated date changes only when the content really changes.
• Sources. We prefer official sources: food-composition databases, health agencies, and the producer’s own pages. Pages about health or alcohol list their sources at the end. See Our sources.
• Advertising. The site is supported by advertising. Advertisers do not influence what we write or which drinks we cover.
• No false credentials. We do not say a page is medically reviewed or fact-checked unless a named reviewer did it.
• Checking numbers. Numbers follow the process on How we verify.
• Updates and corrections. We review pages that get traffic and fix errors when readers or we find them. See Corrections.
